Event DetailsOur “New Leash On Life” Walkathon draws nearly 1,000 two-legged participants and almost as many participants who trot for charity on four paws.
Graduates of Guiding Eyes, friends and corporate sponsors participate in the beautiful ten-mile walk a 5K run through F.D.R. State Park in Yorktown Heights, New York, helping to raise much-needed funds for Guiding Eyes.
The Walk/Run is held annually, on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend.

Directions:FDR State Park has its own exit on the Taconic State Parkway south of Route 35/202 in Yorktown Heights, or can be entered from east of the Taconic on Route 202.
Parking: Please use Lot #2, #3, #4, #5. All cars must be parked in a lot - not on the road.
NY State Park Vehicle Use Fee:$6.00
Walk Rules:Dogs must be leashed. Please clean up after your dog. Guiding Eyes for the Blind reserves the right to turn awayany dogs that pose a threat to other participants.
