2008 Guiding Eyes for the Blind New Leash on Life Walkathon

Our “New Leash On Life” Walkathon draws nearly 1,000 two-legged participants and almost as many participants who trot for charity on four paws. Graduates of Guiding Eyes, friends and corporate sponsors participate in the beautiful ten-mile walk through F.D.R. State Park in Yorktown Heights, New York, helping to raise much-needed funds for Guiding Eyes. The Walk is held annually, on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend.

Where: FDR State Park Route 202 & Taconic State ParkwayYorktown Heights, NY

Walk Begins: 10:30 am

Entertainment Begins: 11:30 am

Lunch Served: 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Event Held: Rain or Shine

Directions: FDR State Park has its own exit on the Taconic State Parkway south of Route 35/202 in Yorktown Heights, or can be entered from east of the Taconic on Route 202.
